Nosotros is a series of images documenting my family in Ecuador and in the United States. My parents immigrated to the United States on their own leaving their entire family in Ecuador. Growing up in Cicero, IL a predominantly Mexican neighborhood, I always questioned my own culture. The closest relation to Ecuadorian culture was growing up with friends of the family who also immigrated from Ecuador around the same time my parents did. I decided to travel on my own to understand where my parents came from and bring together the family I longed for with photography.
