A small Catholic School opened in 1911 that is now closed . My brother sister and I attended this school in the 1980's. In September of 2009 a small reunion was organized for the former students, teachers, nuns, and priests of this school. My memory is very faint of my time at St. Anthony. I spent four years, 1st through 4th grade at this school that had strict rules, consequences for misbehavior such as tipping desks if they are disorganized, slapping of hands with rulers, duck taping mouth's shut, and standing in the corner with your nose touching the wall. Those were stories from our time.
A man who graduated in 1941 from St. Anthony School attended the reunion and shared a story about the janitor living in the basement of the school with his wife and two daughters. Other former graduates from the 60's were reminiscing where they were when Kennedy was shot.
These series of images documents the interior of the school with the memories left behind in them.
